Call for Proposals in Uganda: Civil Society Organizations to Advocate for Industrially Produced Trans Fatty Acids Regulation in Uganda

The Global Health Advocacy Incubator (GHAI) invites civil society organizations (CSOs) from Uganda to join the Cardiovascular Health (CVH) Program team in advocating for mandatory policies to reduce ultra-processed product consumption, focusing on eliminating industrially produced trans-fatty acids (iTFA) in the food supply by passing a best practice policy.

Reducing Demand for Unhealthy Food

Globally there has been an influx of ultra-processed products, which have negatively impacted diets and increased the prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), like cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, among others. To shift these alarming trends, GHAI works with civil society organizations to push for mandatory policies that reduce the consumption of ultra-processed food and beverages.
