A healthy food environment must guarantee equitable access to nutritious food. GHAI promotes policies that increase the availability and affordability of nutritious food.
We support advocacy efforts to:
- Improve school meals programs to promote equitable and sustainable food and nutrition systems for all the children and adolescents.
- Adopt fiscal policies that create incentives to increase sustainable production and improve access to nutritious food.
- Promote procurement of nutritious food in the public sector.
- Advocate for sustainable budget allocations in public institutions to increase access to nutritious food.
