Our Team

Juan Carballo is Senior Legal Advisor working with the Food and Nutrition program. He provides technical legal assistance at all stages of our advocacy campaigns, from providing strategic guidance on policy development and drafting laws and regulations, to advising litigation strategies and supporting legal capacity building efforts. He is a member of the International Legal Consortium, the global legal unit at Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK) for tobacco control related matters. Prior to joining the Global Health Advocacy Incubator and CTFK, Juan worked at the O’Neill Institute at Georgetown University Law Center where he also completed his Master of Laws. He has extensive work experience in civil society organizations and has written papers and book chapters on constitutional law, environmental law, right to health, and human rights. Juan is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
