Abdullahi Hamza Hassan
Abdullahi Hamza Hassan coordinates our epidemic preparedness work in Kano state, Nigeria. He provides strategic and technical support to government and civil society advocating for increased spending on health security. Prior to joining the Global Health Advocacy Incubator, Hamza worked for more than a decade in both the public and nonprofit sectors, including as the Africa Field Epidemiology Network’s technical advisor for advocacy and community mobilization on the Nigeria AIDS Indicator and Impact Survey, and as Nasarawa state project manager for the Second World Bank HIV/AIDS Program Development Project. Hamza holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a master's in clinical psychology, and is pursuing his doctorate in clinical psychology.
