Dr. Om Prakash Bera MPH, MBA is the Regional Advisor, Asia for Noncommunicable Diseases; Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (Data for Health) Programs and Health Systems Strengthening at Global Health Advocacy Incubator. He works closely with a diverse coalition of partners in the development, advocacy and implementation of strategies primarily on aspects related to Health Systems Strengthening, Immunization, Public Health Data Analytics, Noncommunicable Diseases and Civil Registration and Vital Statistics. In the Asia Pacific region, he primarily works on health systems strengthening in India, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Om is a public health management and policy expert with rich advocacy, implementation, research and project management experience and has contributed to more than 50 peer reviewed scientific articles, country guidelines and chapters in international and national scientific journals. He has also received prestigious awards from Indian Council of Medical Research, Epidemiology Foundation of India and has been named as Young NCD Ambassador by Epidemiology Foundation of India supported by World Health Organization in 2023.
In the past, he led grant portfolios from The Global Fund, USAID, Gates Foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies and Nordic Foundations.
