Jill Chanley is the associate director of communications for the Food and Nutrition program. She leads efforts to support the strategic communication, media and digital advocacy work of GHAI’s civil society organization partners in Africa and Asia. Throughout her career, Jill has partnered with local advocates around the world to advance public health policy change through storytelling, data-driven communication strategies and strengthening partners’ capacity to communicate with decision makers who can shape policymaking and programming. She has worked with advocates, youth, researchers and topic experts to support policy change efforts on food and nutrition, sexual and reproductive health, early childhood education, road safety, tobacco control and childhood drowning prevention. Jill holds a master’s degree in global health from Georgetown University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is a native Californian and speaks intermediate French.
