Eli J. Ramamonjisoa is the in-country coordinator for the Prevent Epidemics program in Madagascar. He works with various stakeholders to advocate for improved and sustainable funding for epidemic preparedness and other policies related to health security. He has prior experience working with Palladium Make It Possible, Health Policy Plus Project as a Senior Health Financing Advisor and UNICEF as a Health Programme Specialist in several African countries (Madagascar, DRCongo, Central African Republic, Cote d’Ivoire). He holds a doctorate in medicine and certificates in epidemiology and health economics. He is a member of The African Association for Health Economics and Policy, and is an active member of Health Economics and PBF Community of Practices. He was made a Knight of the National Order of Madagascar in 2011.
