Dr. Christine Harmelle Ename is the In-Country Coordinator (ICC) for the Immunization and Data for Health Programs in Cameroon. She is a Senior Health Specialist with over 20 years of experience in health systems strengthening in Africa. She has worked extensively with the Cameroonian Ministry of Public Health, leading the Expanded Immunization Program. Harmelle has also contributed to high policy dialogue, policy development and project identification, preparation and implementation support in Health Financing and Pandemic Preparedness as World Bank Staff. Her expertise encompasses maternal, neonatal, child and adolescent health and nutrition, with a proven track record of fostering partnerships with UN agencies, Gavi and civil society to achieve large-scale health interventions. She is certified in providing training in reproductive health program management, including immunization and nutrition. Harmelle holds a Doctorate in Medicine and a master’s degree in health policy and management with a concentration in health financing from the Centre d'Études et de Recherches sur le Développement International (CERDI) in France.
