Why We Advocate for Sustainability
At the Global Health Advocacy Incubator, we recognize that lifesaving programs and policies are critical—but not enough. Locally-led advocacy that plans for sustainability of financing and public support at the outset is key to ensuring that programs continue after international funding ends.
The most important part of advocacy is the advocates. Local organizations — when equipped with the right resources and expertise to reach policymakers — are in the best position to drive a public health agenda that ensures healthier futures for their communities.

Uniting for Safer Roads: A Historic Encounter in Mexico in May 2026
The Mexican Safe Mobility Coalition, along with the Global Health Advocacy Incubator’s (GHAI) Road Safety team, gathered in Morelia, Mexico for the Second Encounter of the Safe Mobility Coalition uniting the coalition's members and partners. It was a powerful demonstration of collaboration and dedication to advancing road safety policies in Mexico. With over 400 participants representing 27 of Mexico's 32 states, there was a significant 400% increase in attendance compared to last year, showcasing the growing momentum and commitment to saving lives on Mexico’s roads.
