The Global Health Advocacy Incubator (GHAI) works in partnership with civil society organizations (CSOs) and advocates around the world to advance policies that save lives and reduce disease, and to increase investments in public health.

We take a proven, systematic approach to advocacy that is customized by local partners to deliver health policy wins. We work hand-in-hand with advocates across diverse political systems in low- and middle-income countries and have driven policy change that led to improved health for more than 3 billion people around the world.

Assessment

Our path to policy change begins with evidence and intelligence gathering. We identify, assess, and help strengthen the capacity of local partners. We work with them to develop a set of clear, winnable policy objectives that are based on evidence and global best practices.

Strategic Planning

We assess the legal, political, regulatory and media landscapes in order to identify policy pathways and engagement strategies to reach key decision makers. We work with local partners to build a comprehensive and detailed strategic advocacy plan based on the intelligence and information we gather.

Campaign Execution

We provide ongoing strategic and technical assistance to our partners as they execute their advocacy plans, continuously monitoring and revising strategies as political windows of opportunity emerge.

Implementation and Accountability

We support the implementation, enforcement and institutionalization of policies and the tracking of budget allocations and disbursements while monitoring progress against health outcomes and targets.
