Our Expertise

Capacity Strengthening

The Global Health Advocacy Incubator (GHAI) works with advocates the world over to strengthen their capabilities to develop and execute winning public health advocacy campaigns.

Drawing on our deep experience, we support our partners on the front lines of policy change with the tools, technical assistance and training they need to achieve policy and funding impact.  We have a strong track record of success in building civil society organizations’ advocacy and technical capacity, training journalists to report on public health issues, strengthening national and regional legal networks, and helping scale movements to drive sustained change.

Mapping

We help organizations map their existing capabilities across multiple advocacy domains and use that data to develop tailored trainings and capacity-building strategies to hone advocacy skills, promote promising practices from around the globe, and foster strong partnerships.

Assessment

We help civil society organizations evaluate their advocacy capacity across multiple domains, using the data to develop a capacity strengthening plan that meets their goals.

Evaluation

We measure and document capacity strengthening as a core programmatic outcome for advocacy campaigns, helping advocates build a sustainable movement that can monitor and maintain policy victories.

Implementation

We work with our partners to develop need-aligned interventions to address gaps and maximize strengths. Our capacity-strengthening plans include trainings and learning by doing.
