Om Prakash Bera is the India in-country coordinator for our Cardiovascular Health program. He works closely with a diverse coalition of civil society partners on the development and implementation of strategies to improve hypertension control and reduce trans fat in food. Om is a public health expert with rich experience in project management and advocacy. He has collaborated with a variety of regional and national government actors, and published in international scientific journals, on a range of public health issues, including tuberculosis, tobacco control, epidemic management, big data disease analytics and non-communicable diseases. He has worked with the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, Vital Strategies and Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics, and has led grants from Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
