The Overdose Prevention Initiative submits public comments and regulatory responses to help federal agencies understand how proposed policies affect overdose prevention and access to care.
These submissions address federal rules, grant requirements, payment policies, data collection and administrative decisions involving substance use disorder treatment, medications for opioid use disorder, Medicaid, naloxone, harm reduction, recovery support and public health infrastructure.
Each submission offers evidence-based recommendations focused on implementation, access and the systems people rely on before, during and after an overdose risk event.
